Annual Report of the Director of Land 1928 - Cavite Dam

CAVITE PROVINCE Imus Estate.-The proposed extension of the Ebarcadero system, Imus Estate, was carried out during the year in order to dispose of an'd convert into rice fields the remaining vacant lands situated in the barrios of Burol and Bagoong. Accordingly, the Paliparan Dam, constructed by private parties, was repaired, and its reconstruction was started during the first quarter of the year. About 70 per cent of the work has been completed and it is believed that it may be utilized not later than March 31, 1929. Among the important works undertaken during the year, however, were the repairs of Escribano Tunnels, the installation of Boyang gate and the construction of Minong weir. The construction of Isaac Tunnel was suspended due to lack of funds. Fortunately, the typhoons and drought that occurred 'during the last quarter of the year did not do any great damage to the irrigation structures in this estate.
